Tezpur University is formed in 1994. This is a public type of University and the campus of the University is rural campus. This University is located at the Tezpur, Assam, India. The motto of the University is to provide the Specialized Knowledge and Promotes Creativity in the students. University has the affliction of the UGC (University Grant Commission). Campus of the University is spread upon the around 242 acres of area. University provides vary good placement facility for the students. It offers various courses but main courses are the technical courses. This all courses offer by the University with the help of five educational schools.

B. Tech. and M. Tech. courses are offers by the University under the School of Engineering. It offers M. Tech. programme in various faculties like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Eligibility for the M. Tech Admission:

To get the admission in the M. Tech programme candidate must have to complete degree education from the concern field with minimum of 60% marks for the open category. There are different eligibility criteria for the different faculties.

Admission Procedure:

Admissions are allotted by the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination which is conducted by the Tezpur University or by seeing the performance of candidate in the Personal Interview. The candidates who scores more than 330 in the gates are allowed to get the direct admission in the University.
