VTU is technical university located in Karnataka state in 1st April 1998 by the government of Karnataka. VTU is a one of the largest university in India. The headquarters of university is in Belgaum. VTU is member of association of Commonwealth University, which located in London. They have undergraduate programs in 27 discipline and postgraduate programs in 85 disciplines. The intake of the post graduation course is 7500 students. They recently started MBA an Mtech programs with 250 students in Belgaum. The university granted academic and administrative autonomy and the college has freedom to set own syllabus. They provide following

Eligibility for ME/Mtech admission:
Candidate should be passed the prescribed qualifying examination with 50 per cent marks aggregate. Candidate belonging to ST and SC aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examination shall not be less than 45 per sent marks.
Selection procedure:
The candidates are selected on performance in the entrance examination. After entrance examination selected candidate go for personal interview and admission will be given on the basis merit accordingly.For Non gate candidate written test is conducted in first Sunday of June month and for GATE candidates valid score is given performance for admission. if GATE qualified students are not getting admission such seats shall be filled up from the student who had appeared for entrance examination.
